What AI Product Photo Tools Cost Per Listing, and Who Owns the Image You Sell With
1 tool measured · Vouch Score data collected 10 August 2026
A seller does not need a beautiful render. They need a photograph a marketplace will accept, at a price that survives being multiplied by a catalogue, with the right to sell the product it shows. So this category measures the three things a listing actually turns on — what one usable image costs once the free tier runs out, what the licence says about commercial use, and what the vendor's own contract says about the tier you are on — and dates every figure to the day it was read.
AI product-photo editor for sellers: removes and replaces the background around an uploaded product photo for Shopify, Etsy and Amazon listings.
Photoroom edits a product photo a seller already owns, replacing the background rather
than generating a scene from a prompt. Photoroom's free plan is licensed, in the vendor's
own words, for personal, non-commercial purposes. The score card reads 66.9 out of 100 on
three filled cells of four, the newest of them a contract reading dated 12 August 2026.

Read the dimensions, not the composite
Two different buyers land here and the trade-offs split along that line. A marketplace seller is sizing cost per listing and needs to know whether the licence covers selling the item shown. A brand or agency is buying art-directed campaign work and needs to know which tier carries commercial rights at all. Settle both on the vendor's own pages before paying: how many finished images your plan really yields, and what the licence permits on the tier you are actually on.
Where these numbers come from
Capability is sourced from public output-quality arenas (blind pairwise votes), usability from review-crowd aggregates weighted by sample size, value from verified pricing, and commercial terms from four clause positions read off the vendor’s own legal documents on a stated date. Where a source does not exist for a tool, that cell is published empty rather than estimated. Full detail: methodology.
Nothing here is placed by hand, and with a single card measured on this page there is no order to publish and no badge to award. On commercial ties, as of August 2026: no affiliate programme covering product photography has been joined, so nothing on this page earns a commission. Photoroom runs one through Awin and we are not in it. If that changes, this line changes with it and the disclosure lands before the link.
